Player Bio

A crafty right-arm off-break bowler, Lauren Smith has a knack for picking up wickets at regular junctures. Born in New South Wales, Smith plays for the NSW Breakers in the Women’s National Cricket League and has been a regular feature for the Sydney Thunder in WBBL.

She played her first WNCL game at the age of 18 and in her debut game, Smith picked up 4 for 36 and was highly impressive with her control over the line and length.

Smith started playing for Sydney Sixers in the Women’s Big Bash League and eventually switched alliances with rivals, Sydney Thunder ahead of the 2020-21 season.

She also had a brief stint with Lancashire in 2016 and that helped Smith to understand her game better.
