Player Bio

Dominic Drakes is a Barbadian cricketer who plays as a bowler for his domestic side. A wily left-arm medium-pacer, he is the son of Vasbert Drakes, who played international cricket for West Indies.

Drakes made his much-awaited first-class debut for Barbados in the 2017-18 Regional Four Day Competition. Ahead of the 2018 CPL, Drakes was touted as the player to watch out for in the tournament. 

After a string of impressive performances in the shorter formats of the game, Drakes was included in the West Indies emerging teams for the 2019-20 Regional Super50.

Ahead of the 2020 Caribbean Premier League season, Drakes was roped in by St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. 

His stump-to-stump bowling is a great asset for any domestic team he plays for. Drakes is a clever bowler, who hardly has an express pace, but he covers it up with his will to take wickets at regular intervals.
