A tall right-arm pacer who can bowl at a genuine pace, Mark Steketee is a professional cricketer for Queensland who is a former Australian U-19 representative. He played for the Queensland Academy second XI squad that won the Toyota Futures League.

After some stellar performances for the second string of Queensland, Steketee won the Queensland Academy of Sport Player of the Year. Having made his first-class debut in 2015, the Warwick-born pacer had his best Sheffield Shield season in 2018-19 when was the fifth-highest wicket-taker with 42 wickets.

The 27-year old has been a prominent feature for the Brisbane Heat since his debut in the 2013-14 Big Bash League (BBL) and is currently the leading wicket-taker for his side with 66 scalps to his name. In January 2021, he earned a maiden call up from the Australian Test side for the tour to South Africa that got postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

A useful lower-order pinch hitter, the Warwick product will once again line up for the 2021-22 edition of the BBL after some impressive domestic performance for the Queensland Bulls.
