Player Bio

A left-arm spinner and a proper batter, Liam Patterson-White featured in all the age-group matches for Nottinghamshire, until he was selected to play for the England U-19 team. After doing well against the India U-19 team in 2017, the all-rounder earned an opportunity to be a part of the Notts Second XI team the following year. A string of good performances earned him a place on the senior men's side.

In his debut First-Class fixture against Somerset in the 2019 edition of the County Championship, White claimed a five-wicket haul. He then went on to accumulate 91 runs and pick up 20 wickets in five appearances until the end of the season.

His striking performances caught the eyes of the selectors, and eventually, he signed a first professional contract with Nottinghamshire for a three-year deal.

In the 2021 edition of the County Championship fixture against Somerset, White hit his maiden First-Class century and got a chance to make his List-A debut as well in the Royal London Cup. The talented spinner claimed his best-ever figures of 5/19 against Northants.

The consistent performances and the retirement of Samit Patel from red-ball cricket helped him get an extended run in the First XI team and he signed a contract with the club until 2024.

In the ongoing 2022 edition of County Championship Division Two, the left-arm orthodox is performing to his level best and is the leading wicket-taker for Notts so far.
